WTS-Boston's Member on the Move: Kristen Whitman

WTS-Boston and Jacobs Engineering Group would like to congratulate Kristen Whitman for her recent promotion to New England Structures Group Lead, Jacobs Engineering Group, effective October 2nd. Kristen has worked for Jacobs for 20 years as an Engineer and Project Manager in the Bridge/Structures team.  During her tenure with Jacobs she has worked on major transportation projects including the I-95/I-93 (Route128) Transportation Improvements (Bridge V) “Add-A-Lane” Project for MassDOT, and the Terminal C Roadways project at Logan International Airport for Massport.

Kristen is also a prestigious member of the WTS Boston chapter, receiving the 2020 award for Member of the Year.  Kristen has served as Co-Chair of WTS-Boston’s Mentoring, Fundraising, Professional Development and Newsletter committees.

Kristen’s background in the design and inspection of bridges and structures for our New England clients and clients across the country, her understanding and knowledge of what our clients need and the Jacobs systems and processes, coupled with her attention to detail, dedication and drive for success made her an ideal candidate for this role.  Each year in her current role, Kristen has taken on increasing responsibility as an engineer, a mentor and a leader who is well respected by all who know her.  She has built strong relationships with our clients and peers in the industry and delivered some of our biggest and most complex projects.  In her free time, Kristen enjoys skiing and playing golf with her husband Dave and hiking with her dog Opie.

Kristen will succeed Darren Conboy in this role as he focuses on management of major projects and providing technical guidance to the group.

Please join us in congratulating Kristen in her new role.
