Mentoring Workshop - Discovering Your Personality Type
This month the Professional Development committee hosted the Mentoring Program’s first group session at Burns Engineering, entitled “Discovering Your Personality Type”.
This session was facilitated by Shakeyia Kersey, Director at Moore College of Art and Design and MBTI Certified Professional. During the group session, both Mentees and Mentors were grouped by their dominant personality traits and were placed in scenarios where they needed to effectively communicate policy changes and implement change to other personality types.
Through these exercises participants gained a deeper understanding of their motivations, different communication styles, and how to leverage their dominant traits to influence both their personal and professional growth.
