Today, WTS recognizes and congratulates Diane Gutierrez-Scaccetti, Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Transportation, on her appointment as Chair of the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Executive Committee.

For the first time in the organization’s history, TRB will be simultaneously led by women: Victoria Sheehan, as recently appointed Executive Director, and Commissioner Gutierrez-Scaccetti. This monumental and historical occasion is made all the more special by occurring during the month of March, where WTS International and the nation recognize the historical impact of women in our industry and beyond.  

Gutierrez-Scaccetti brings extensive leadership experience to this role, including serving for over 20 years at the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, with 2 years as its executive director. She also served as executive director and CEO of Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise, and is active in leadership roles in several transportation associations, including IBTTA, AASHTO, NASTO, and several others. Additionally, she is a founding member of the WTS New Jersey Chapter, and was named their Woman of the Year in 2021.
