A nationwide firm of planning, design, and construction professionals and a recognized authority in the transportation industry, Dewberry employs more than 2,300 employees (31% women) across 60 locations. Dewberry supports women in the transportation industry through various programs and initiatives, corporate values, and business practices. Women are found at all levels of leadership, and the Board of Directors has promoted, placed, and continued to champion women in several high-level positions including Chief Financial Officer, Chief Information Officer, Chief Communication Officer, National Director of Ports and Intermodal, Senior Vice Presidents, Presidents, and Business Unit Managers.

Dewberry is proud to be a silver level corporate member and supportive of WTS-DC’s mission and goals to advance and encourage women in transportation. In 2019 and 2020, Dewberry sponsored a WTS-DC named scholarship that provided a local female student a $2,000 scholarship to further their transportation-related studies. Dewberry has also pledged to sponsor a $2,000 WTS-DC named scholarship in 2021. The firm was also awarded WTS-DC Employer of the Year in 2005, a distinction it hopes to repeat!

Dewberry promotes professional growth by encouraging its employees to join a professional organization. The benefits of getting involved and becoming a member of a professional organization, or even better, serving on an organization’s committee or board gives opportunities for networking, continuing education, and mentoring. Dewberry’s leadership encourages employees to become members of WTS regardless of location and/or gender. At Dewberry, a company-wide WTS-specific initiative team meets throughout the year to increase participation, grow membership across all regions, promote events and leadership opportunities, and develop strategies for involvement at the annual WTS-I Conference.

Within the Dewberry culture, we always put the client first. Our collaborative professionals include experts in engineering design, analysis, and technology. From large-scale highway infrastructure to complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing solutions, our firm has the knowledge and experience to deliver the client’s project goals from inception through delivery.
