On January 25, 2022, WTS-LA hosted its first program of 2022. Featuring Samantha Bricker, Chief Sustainability and Revenue Management Officer for Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) and moderated by Claudette Moody, Associate Vice President with WSP, the conversation covered a lot of ground, including work at LAWA, inclusivity, leadership, and mentorship. Samantha presented on LAWA's Landside Access Modernization Program (LAMP), including the Automated People Mover; Terminal Development Improvement Program; and current and upcoming projects.

In addition to incorporating COVID-19 testing and distribution in its operations, LAWA leveraged the decreased traffic to accelerate construction. LAWA delivered four projects in 2021: Airport Police Facility, LAX Economy Parking structure, Terminal 1 Extension, and  the West Gates at Tom Bradley International Terminal. Continuing projects include the Automated People Mover; Terminals 4, 5, and 6 Modernization; and the Consolidated Rent-a-Car Facility. She discussed how LAWA is implementing its Sustainability Action Plan, studying mobility improvements through the Central Terminal Area; and developing community amenities on the Northside of LAX and a solar farm at Van Nuys Airport.
