Together, Women in Public Finance’s Pennsylvania Chapter and WTS Philadelphia held a dynamic virtual panel event on October 4th. We were honored to be joined by panelists on all sides of the effort – From Mike Bonini, Director of PennDOT’s P3 office, to Alicia Nolan, Division Administrator for FHWA who oversaw the project, to Julie Burger, Managing Director and Co-Head of Public Finance at Wells Fargo, and Steve Park, Attorney, Partner, and Co-Lead of the P3/Infrastructure Group at Ballard Spahr, who worked on the financial and legal ends of the deal. Pros and cons of the P3 approach, lessons learned, and what these leaders see in the future for P3 and alternative delivery was discussed – and inspired us all on what can be achieved when working collaboratively for public benefit!
