Sam Sleiman is Executive Vice President of National Transportation at Suffolk, specializing in the management of projects for aviation, port, and railway projects nationally. Sam’s strong expertise and in-depth understanding of transportation clients and their project objectives has been cultivated through more than 35 years of experience in the design and construction industry, including 27 years of experience managing projects for one of the largest transportation Authorities in the nation. Sam oversaw the implementation of over $7 billion in aviation and transportation projects.

In his current role, Sam develops the business direction and strategy for Suffolk’s transportation sector. He is responsible for identifying and cultivating client relationships, recruiting, and developing key staff members. He also oversees and ensures that his teams’ performance adheres to Suffolk’s highest safety and quality standards and that all projects are executed flawlessly. Sam’s understanding of the owner’s operations and businesses gives him a unique perspective for serving the client.

Prior to joining Suffolk, Sam spent 27 years leading executive operations, administration, and capital programming management at Massachusetts Port Authority with a portfolio that includes Logan International Airport, Seaport Container Terminal, Cruise Terminal, and Toll Bridge structure. He formerly served as Chairman for the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) National Board of Directors and Chair of the Operations and Technical Committee for the Airport Council International, North America (ACI-NA). Sam received an honorary Doctorate of Engineering degree from Wentworth Institute of Technology. Mr. Sleiman has also been recognized as National Person of the Year by CMAA, was inducted to the CMAA’s College of Fellows and the National Academy of Construction (NAC), was elected as a member of “The Moles”, the most prestigious organization in the heavy construction industry, and was named one of Engineering News Record’s (ENR) Top 25 Newsmakers.

Sam holds both Master and Bachelor of Science degrees in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University. He is also a Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and a Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
