13th Annual Scholarship and Awards

The St. Louis Chapter celebrated our 13thAnnual Scholarship and Awards dinner in April with approximately 100 guests.  Patrick McKenna, the recently appointed Director of MoDOT, was the key note speaker.  Director McKenna spoke about innovative ideas that are being discussed as part of the “Road to Tomorrow” initiative for the future of Interstate 70 across the state such as automated vehicles, electric roadways with capabilities of charging electric vehicles, and hyperloop technology.  He also made a great comparison of how much the average Missourian pays for a month cell phone bill versus about $14.50 per month for access to the entire highway system.
