On Thursday, September 14, the WTS Boston Programs Committee will be hosting MBTA General Manager and CEO Phillip Eng as he provides his vision for the Future of the MBTA to the WTS Boston chapter.
Mr. Eng is an engineer with nearly 40 years of experience in transportation, including as President of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority's (MTA) Long Island Rail Road and Interim President of New York City Transit. A seasoned public transportation veteran with a record of improving service on struggling transit systems, Mr. Eng joined the MBTA in April 2023 and has been getting up to speed with a number of key issues. This event falls on the 6th month of his tenure and so provides an opportunity to get a glimpse into his plan for turning around the T and how the WTS-Boston community might help.
