On Wednesday, December 13th, the WTS Boston Programs Committee will be hosting our Luncheon Seminar and Annual Meeting. Our luncheon keynote speaker is Joi Singh, Division Administrator of the FHWA Massachusetts Division.
The Annual Meeting is also when we recognize our outgoing board members and committee co-chairs, as well as welcome our incoming leadership roles.
WTS-Boston is pleased to introduce Joi Singh as our keynote speaker. Joi Singh began her tenure as Division Administrator for FHWA’s Massachusetts Division on December 4, 2022. In this role, Joi provides vision and leadership for a team of 22 transportation professionals and represents FHWA in the administration of the transportation program in Massachusetts. Prior to this role, Joi served as the Deputy Division Administrator for the Nevada Division, where she was responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Nevada Division Office, as well as leading a diverse staff of transportation professionals responsible for the stewardship and oversight of Nevada’s $1.1 billion Federal-aid highway program.
Joi began her FHWA career in 2017 as National Program Lead for Realty Programs in the Office of Planning, Environment, and Realty (HEP). Since then, Joi has been an asset to the agency by serving as an instructor for FHWA’s Leadership Development Academy (LDA), a member of the Diversity Management Committee (DMC), and as a leader for countless other corporate initiatives. Prior to joining FHWA, Joi worked in the private practice of law, in transportation consulting, for the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) and the Maryland Courts. Throughout her career, Joi has demonstrated outstanding abilities in providing leadership through motivating, actively engaging, inspiring collaboration, and building coalitions.
Joi holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Intercultural Communication from American University, a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Howard University School of Law, and an Occupational Certificate in Facilitative Mediation from the University of Maryland.
Joi is married to the (undisputed) most incredible man in the universe and has two children residing in Virginia and Amsterdam, Netherlands.
