WTS
Join us for an informative panel event on transportation funding!

Join WTS for the Transportation Project Funding 101 event on Wednesday, January 15th. We will be joined by Aimee Lee, Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP); Jackie Forbes, Kane County Division of Transportation (KDOT); and Erin Fiorini, Chicago Transportation Authority (CTA). Learn about how transportation projects are funded, how funding impacts project delivery, and what challenges may be on the horizon. The event will feature three accomplished women with deep expertise in transportation funding:

  • Aimee Lee will moderate the discussion, bringing a regional and multimodal perspective as the Deputy of Transportation for the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP). In this role, Aimee manages the programming of nearly 2,000 federally funded regionally significant projects in the Transportation Improvement Program for northeastern Illinois.
  • Erin Fiorini brings a transit perspective from her 19 years of experience with the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) in various roles, both on the operating and capital sides of the Authority. She is currently the Director of Infrastructure Capital Program Oversight at CTA where she manages the $5 billion infrastructure capital construction program and its funding and financing.
  • Jackie Forbes is Chief of Planning and Programming for the Kane County Division of Transportation (KDOT) and Executive Director of the Kane Kendall Council of Mayors. She is responsible for project programming, short- and long-range planning, and activities related to highway, transit, and bicycle/pedestrian facilities.

Registration will open at 5:30 pm with the paneling start at 6:00. The panel will be preceded and followed by an opportunity for networking and enjoying some provided food and beverages. Secure your spot and register before Monday, January 13th.
