This project received the 2023 Spokane/Coeur d'Alene Chapter's Innovative Transportation Solution of the Year Award, 2024 ACEC Idaho Project of the Year Award and the 2023 WTS Southwest Idaho Innovative Transportation Solution of the Year Award. Erica, with support from geotechnical consultant GeoEngineers, will highlight the technical challenges and solutions (including the use of Expanded Polystyrene Geofoam (EPS Geofoam) blocks into the design), the collaboration between the entire project team and share the impact the widening has had to the community.
