ARRIVAL INSTRUCTIONS: This event is from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m., however, please arrive at 11:45 a.m. for security check-in prior to the program. All participants are required to bring their government issued identification for entry into the NIFC federal building. Enter through the main security gate, adjacent to the USPS office on 2625 Apollo St, Boise, ID 83705. Look for the big flame, security will direct you to a parking lot ahead, and you will enter through the front doors of the Great Basin Smokejumper Loft, pictured here.

Meagan Maughan - Bureau of Land Management Fire, Deputy Center Manager

Maegan Maughan

Maegan Maughan is the Deputy Center Manager for the National Interagency Coordination Center (NICC), she recently accepted this position at the National Interagency Fire Center in January 2023. Maegan has served many roles in the Fire program since 2006. She has experience working on camp crews, engines, helitack, and hand crews. Maegan moved to wildland fire dispatch in 2011 and has worked at local dispatch centers, geographic area coordination centers, and emergency operations at the NICC since in February 2022. She graduated from the College of Oceaneering in Long Beach, California with a specialty in dive medicine. Maegan enjoys cooking, spending time with her two dogs, and loves any water recreation activity.    

Jennifer Schildgen - Idaho Transportation Department Division of Aeronautics, Project Manager

Jennifer Schildgen is the Airport Planning Manager for the Idaho Transportation Department Division of Aeronautics (Aero). She has been with Aero for six years. Prior to joining the Aero team she served in the United States Air Force for 22 years, retiring as a flight line maintenance superintendent. While in the military she worked as an F-15E fighter jet avionics specialist and oversaw the $2.4B Radar Modernization Program upgrading RADAR system packages. Jennifer currently works closely with the FAA and airports statewide to maximize state and federal funding for projects ranging from airport master plans to large-scale pavement projects and inspections. She holds a Master of Science degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Jennifer loves being outdoors and playing golf with her family.

Beth Sumner - Boise Airport, Deputy Director of Engineering and Planning

Beth Sumner started her career as an Intelligence Officer with the Air Force and rose to become the Director of Mission Support for the 124th Fighter Wing at the Idaho Air National Guard (IDANG). Through her 24 years of experience with the military she assisted on large-scale master plans for Gowen Field, oversaw construction administration, and coordinated with the FAA on adherence to airfield construction requirements. Beyond the IDANG, Beth has also worked in the private sector, helping launch new IT services across the globe with HP, managing engineering contractors at AORIST, and excelling as a Project Engineer at MotivePower, Inc. Beth joined the Boise Airport in 2023 as the Deputy Director of Engineering and Planning where she leads a team of engineers and project managers as they work to strategically plan for and develop the infrastructure required to accommodate the growing demand for air service in our region.

Hannah Hoke - Boise Airport, Operations Supervisor

Hannah Hoke has been interested in aviation since she was a child. After graduating from Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah with a degree in Aviation Management, Hannah has managed an FBO, racked up over 90 hours flying in pursuit of her pilot’s license, completed her ACE Certification for Operations, achieved her Certified Member designation with AAAE, and worked at two of our region’s largest airports. As an Airport Operations Supervisor at the Boise Airport, Hannah helps coordinate the airport’s emergency response to a range of situations—including medical diversions, aircraft incidents, security issues, etc. Hannah assists the FAA with the airport’s annual Part 139 recertification inspection, helps train all BOI’s newly hired operations specialists, and performs the role of Snow Boss during winter snow events.
