Two Virtual Ethics Technical Sessions
Session 1: Ethics and the Expert Witness
This presentation explores some of the key considerations of the legal process along with what the expert witness does and does not do. Referencing primarily Pennsylvania Law, the presentation sets forth the legal basis for the expert witness'/forensic engineer's analyses, opinions, and testimony.
Session 2: Ethical Considerations with Public Sector Assignments
With the additional workload being brought by new federal funding, there is a great need for staff augmentation in public agencies through open-end consulting contracts. This session will cover the various ethical issues associated with public sector clients, both in the usual client/service relationships as well with “embedded”/staff extension situations. It will highlight the issues on how to avoid awkward situations or violations, and ethical items that may arise.
