Join WTS, MDOT and Young Professionals in Transportation for afternoon event. Begin with a lunch time presentation. Then move on to the Riverwalk to experience this first hand. Finally, we will close with a networking happy hour!

The Detroit Riverwalk was recently voted the #1 Riverwalk in America in a USA Today competition for a second year in a row.

Mannik & Smith led a team of consultants (over a 10-year period) with the study and design of some of the most prominent riverfront venues – extending over 6 miles, from Gabriel Richard Park westward/downstream to the Gordie Howe International Crossing. The Detroit Riverfront Conservancy, MDOT and the City of Detroit all served as clients on the various contracts for this transformative world-class waterfront.

Event Begins with Presentation at MDOT-DOSC:

Parking is available in the gravel lot at the corner of Mt. Elliott St./Wight St. (adjacent to the traffic circle).

Attendees are asked to drive between locations. Carpooling can be coordinated!

Agenda: 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM – Presentation
2:00 PM – 3:30 PM – Detroit Riverwalk Tour – Mt. Elliott Park and the former Uniroyal property (under construction)

**Please note: this is an active construction site. Please plan accordingly with PPE and dress appropriately with proper footwear (no open toed shoes)
