Committees

GET INVOLVED

The Toronto Area Chapter has established several committees
and selected leaders to manage Chapter activities.
MEMBERSHIP
COMMITTEE

The Membership Committee’s objective is to work with WTS International to track, manage and welcome new and returning members to the Toronto Area Chapter. The Membership Committee is also responsible for helping to solve any challenges that arise with membership.
CHAIR - ANDREA LENDAK (IBI GROUP)
Andrea is an Associate with IBI Group with more than 15 years of experience in transportation planning and operations. After graduating from the University of Toronto, she spent 10 years in the United Kingdom working on congestion charging, control centre development, and the London 2012 Games. The Pan Am Games brought her back to her Toronto roots. Andrea’s key strengths include coordinating numerous stakeholders from different agencies to ensure on-time project delivery. She brings a high level of contagious energy to get work completed on time.

SCHOLARSHIP
COMMITTEE

The Scholarship Committee was assembled in 2014 to create, manage, and implement a process for selecting, awarding and disbursing scholarship funds on behalf of the Chapter. The Committee has recommended to the Board the adoption of a Scholarship process which defines the general nature of scholarship process in accordance with WTS International practice, defines the Sponsor-specific parameters for an individual Scholarship, identifies the capture area and fields of studies and other eligibility requirements for candidates and identifies the evaluation and selection criteria.
CO-CHAIR - JOANNE MCCALL (PARSONS)
Joanne is a Senior Vice President at Parsons, and is the Division Manager for the Bridge and Tunnel Division of the firm. With more than 20 years of industry experience, she is responsible for strategic direction, talent development, financial performance, operations management, safety and quality for the Division worldwide. Joanne holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from McGill University and completed the Executive Development Program at Tilburg University’s TiasNimbas Business School.

CO-CHAIR - CATHY WILSON-CAMPBELL (PARSONS)
Cathy is the Business Development Manager for Canada at Parsons. Cathy has nearly 20 years of project management, procurement and business development experience derived from working with public sector clients developing procurements and with private sector clients in the design, development and delivery of rail systems.

SPONSORSHIP
COMMITTEE

The Sponsorship Committee is responsible for spearheading the efforts to obtain financial support for the Toronto Area Chapter for special events, professional development activities and the WTS Scholarship Program. The Sponsorship Committee responsibilities include establishing the goals and developing the Annual Sponsorship Program; coordinating with the transportation industry organizations to solicit and confirm contribution levels; and coordinating with other Chapter committees to ensure that Corporate Sponsors are recognized at all events and communications.
