2020 Board of Directors


The WTS Nominations Committee has selected the best balance of individuals who reflect the principles of the Board and who will work together to further advance the WTS Toronto Area Chapter.
These individuals serve as the 2020 Board of Directors.


Hannah is the General Manager for Ontario at Lyft Canada. In combination with her previous roles as Global Director of ARIV eBikes at General Motors, and at companies like Cycling Sports Group and Specialized, Hannah has proven expertise in multimodal transportation. She strongly supports the advancement of women in transportation, business and sports, and is passionate about getting people out of single-occupancy vehicles. Hannah has been on the WTS Board of Directors since 2018. In addition to her professional experience, Hannah holds a bachelors’ degree in Philosophy from McGill University and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business. When not behind her desk, Hannah can often be found on a bicycle. 





Frances is Head of Project Management Office for Global Information Services within Apotex, responsible for delivery of business and technology projects and advancement of project management governance, process & delivery. Frances has over 25 years of consulting and management experience, focusing in business transformation, technology innovations and project delivery in financial, manufacturing, consumer packaged goods and transportation industries. Her recent role was head of business management and business analysis group at Metrolinx. Frances is passionate in building future leaders through mentoring and coaching. She has volunteered in Women in Leadership committees and Diversity & Inclusiveness councils as well as mentoring of immigrants and students. Since joining WTS in 2015, she has held multiple roles: Treasurer, Mentoring program Committee Chair and recently Board member.  





Jacquelyn is the Director of Transportation Project Design & Management at the City of Toronto. In this role, she is responsible for a leading the design and delivery of a wide-ranging portfolio including Vision Zero road safety projects, major transportation infrastructure, pedestrian and cycling infrastructure, and neighbourhood projects including street art. Jacqueline has 17 years of experience in both the public and non-profit sectors focused on transportation infrastructure and transportation demand management. Jacquelyn holds an Executive Development Certificate from the Schulich School of Business, as well as a bachelors’ degree in Environmental Studies from York University and is a certified Project Management Professional.   





Kerri is a Senior Project Engineer at the Toronto Transit Commission. She has over 14 years of experience working with TTC’s communications network, subway infrastructure and subway operations. In her past and current positions, Kerri has managed internal and external stakeholders on major transit projects, including the Toronto-York Spadina Subway Extension, Eglinton Crosstown LRT and McNicoll Bus Garage. Kerri has been a dedicated volunteer of the WTS Toronto Area Chapter since 2014. She was the Programs Committee Chair from late 2017 to 2019 where  she oversaw the organization of the Chapter’s Annual Dinner, speaker panels, professional development workshops as well as social and networking events. Kerri moved on to co-chair the Communications Committee in 2019, where she leads a team of talented volunteers to support the Chapter's various communication initiatives. Currently she serves as the Board Director for Communications.





Becca Nagorsky is the Director of Transit Project Planning at Metrolinx, an Ontario agency tasked with integrating transportation for the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. She has over 10 years of experience in transit planning, leading projects ranging from subway, LRT, and BRT project development to long-range network planning. Becca is a regular presenter at the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Annual Meeting as well as a member of TRB’s Rail Transit Systems Committee. She has also taught the Fundamentals of Transportation Planning course at Seneca College and is a literacy tutor at the Toronto Public Library.  Becca moved to Toronto in 2011 after four years in Jerusalem, Israel, working on a transit network redesign to support the city’s light rail line. She holds a Master of Urban Planning from New York University.





Kathryn Deschamps returned to school as a mature student and graduated in 2010, her previous career being in health care and emergency services. She has worked in the Transportation industry for 10 years and held many different positions such as assisting in designing roads using AutoCAD, worked in Traffic Safety, Street Furniture and Road Operations. Kathryn is currently in Road Operations as an Acting Supervisor and greatly enjoys the position. During her time off, Kathryn enjoys running, rowing and kayaking.
