The winners of WTS International's six scholarships for 2017 have been announced! Each of the winners will be recognized at an awards banquet on May 18 during the 2017 WTS Annual Conference in Brooklyn, NY.

WTS Transportation YOU Summit Attracts More Young Women to Industry

Every year, a group of girls have a once in a life-time experience at the Transportation YOU DC Summit. This year, 18 girs embraced every opportunity to learn about the transportation industry in Washington DC last week. The Transportation YOU DC Youth Summit spanned five days and included a visit to USDOT to meet with some of the young women from various modes who have chosen transportation as a career, and a meeting with Victor Mendez, Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of Transportation.​

Transportation YOU Summit Seeks to Close Industry’s Gender Gap

In the midst of issues swirling around the Highway Trust Fund crisis, senior officials from transportation’s public and private sectors took the time to meet with 21 high-school girls who have shown an interest in learning more about career opportunities in the industry for WTS International's Transportation YOU program.

Southwest Airlines and Lea+Elliott Commit Support for Girls in STEM

Southwest Airlines Co. and Lea+Elliott have made substantial commitments to WTS International, the association for the global advancement of women in transportation, to support the association’s Transportation YOU program for girls aged 13 – 18. Transportation YOU is managed by WTS chapters across the U.S. with various programs that include mentorships, technical tours, and hands-on activities to encourage girls to continue on an academic path focused on STEM.
