WTS Nevada Chapter Luncheon

WTS Nevada Chapter Luncheon on Wednesday, March 28th (11:30 am to 1:00 pm) as we welcome both Thom Reilly and Jacob Snow as our guest speakers.

Please join us at our next WTS Nevada Chapter Luncheon on Wednesday, March 28th (11:30 am to 1:00 pm) as we welcome both Thom Reilly and Jacob Snow as our guest speakers.  We will hear their thoughts on our current and future Transportation issues in Nevada, as well as their perspective on Women in the transportation and working world.


Dr. Thom Reilly was appointed by the Board to serve as NSHE's chancellor starting August 2017. Prior to his appointment, he served as director of the Morrison Institute for Public Policy at Arizona State University where he also was a professor in the School of Public Affairs. He currently is a Fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration and professor emeritus at San Diego State University.  He previously served five years as county manager for Clark County and was vice chancellor of the NSHE Health Sciences System.  Reilly has extensive experience in the private sector, serving as managing principal of The Reilly Group, a management consulting firm and as former vice president of social responsibility at Caesars Entertainment, Inc. He has held senior administrative positions with the State of Nevada, overseeing income maintenance programs and the statewide child welfare system. He also was a former director and professor for the School of Social Work at San Diego State University.


Jacob Snow has spent the last two years as a Principal with the JABarrett Company, a local management consulting firm that works with public, private and not for profit clients. Prior to his private sector work with the JABarrett Company, Jacob spent more than a decade in executive leadership at McCarran International Airport, planning for and building infrastructure at one of the largest and fastest growing airports in the world. He spent thirteen years as General Manager of the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada where he transformed the region's transportation system. As General Manager, he oversaw the planning, funding, development and operation of billions of dollars in streets, highways, rapid transit, and multimodal transportation systems. He finished his career in public service as the City Manager for Henderson, Nevada. There he helped the City of Henderson to balance their budget for the first time in seven years. Jacob graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geography from Brigham Young University (BYU).  He also has a Master's of Science in Geography/Urban Planning from BYU.
