NC Future City Regional Competition!

North Carolina Future Cities is looking for industry professionals to volunteer for the competition on  January 26th

What is Future City?

The Future City Competition is a national, project-based learning experience where students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades imagine, design, and build cities of the future. Students work in teams with an educator and engineer mentor to plan cities using SimCity™ software. Each team researches and writes solutions to an engineering problem, builds tabletop scale models with recycled materials, and present their ideas to  judges at Regional Competitions in January. Regional winners represent their regions at the National Finals in Washington, D.C., in February. There are 46 teams in the NC Regional competition this year.

This year's topic: Identify a problem of moving people in your future city and design a mode of transportation to solve this problem.
