Transportation decisions affect our lives, economy and health.  Everyone needs to use various modes of transportation to get to work or school, to access healthy foods at grocery stores and markets, and to participate in countless other activities every day.  However, too many people are negatively impacted by inequitable transportation decisions that are detrimental to public health.

Learn more about the links between public health, equity and transportation from Sandra Stenmark and Molly Hanson.  Sandra is a pediatrician and the director of Healthy Beginnings Collaborative, Healthy Eating and Active Living Collaborative, and Clinic to Community Integration Governance Council for Kaiser Permanente in Colorado.  Molly is a Health Policy Analyst at Jefferson County Public Health.  Join us and find out what Colorado is doing and learn about upcoming funding opportunities to improve the built environment by linking health and transportation.
