Road to Success: The Bright Future of Trucking in Jacksonville

The WTS program for June focuses on trucking, the industry in transportation with the most equipment, the most personnel, and the most flexibility and responsiveness to the needs of shippers.  The panel discussion will include the following:

Mary Lou Rajchel, President/CEO of the Florida Trucking Association

Stephen Silverman, COO of Raven Transport, a company with 385 tractors, 1100 trailers and terminals in four states

Dina Garnsey, Director of LTL Services with Landstar

Moderated by Ross Henderson of Yellow Roadway Corporation.

Each of the speakers knows trucking exceptionally well, but each also has particular areas of strength, too, such as Ms. Rajchel's knowledge of pending or desired legislation and a sense of all trucking companies in Jacksonville and in Florida.  Mr. Silverman runs operations for a company that started with one truck and is now an American success story.  Also, as a minority-owned business, Raven Transport has overcome industry hurdles and expectations while reaching success.  Finally, Ms. Garnsey helps manage Landstar Global Logistics, Inc. Less-Than-Truckload service offering.  Primary duties include serving as a liaison between the company's agent family, customers, owner-operators and corporate headquarters.  Further, as possibly the largest third-party logistics provider that focuses on trucking, Landstar has a strong undertaking of the trucking industry that has been recognized as one of the best managed in the industry.

Come learn about the most important method of transporting goods and services!
