The WTS Central Virginia Chapterwelcomes Ms. Amy Inman, Manager of Transit Planning for the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation (DRPT),who will be presenting on the topic of Multimodal System Design Guidelines.

The Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation is developing statewide Multimodal System Design Guidelines that will serve as a resource for multimodal system planning at the regional, community, and street scales. The purpose of the Multimodal System Design Guidelines is to provide a standard methodology for identifying multimodal centers and multimodal corridors that will provide connectivity and mobility freedom that serve as the fundamental fabric for vibrant communities. The target audience and purpose of the guidelines is to provide transit agencies, local governments, land use and transportation planners, as well as the private sector with a toolkit of planning approaches, policies, guidelines and implementation strategies to help create and transform communities into multimodal, economically competitive and environmentally friendly areas that improve the overall quality of life for residents, visitors and businesses. 

Registration will begin at 11:30AM. Lunch will begin promptly at noon.

Turkey and brie sandwich with fresh fruit and chips.
