The Future of Downtown Austin

Dewitt Peart
President and CEO of the Downtown Austin Alliance

The WTS Heart of Texas Chapter is honored to present Dewitt Peart, President and CEO of the Downtown Austin Alliance, to discuss the future of Downtown Austin.

The pace of growth we are experiencing downtown is rapid with significant construction underway.  This presentation will help frame your thinking about the opportunities for Downtown Austin.  It will introduce you to the progress of the Downtown Austin Plan and the work of the Downtown Austin Alliance.  The presentation will be a preview into the potential for future downtown development that you are sure to find provocative.  As it relates to people, congestion, parking and taxes, what are the implications for Downtown, the rest of Austin, and the region?  The presentation will leave you thinking about the great potential we have to shape our future.
Dewitt Peart became the President and CEO of the Downtown Austin Alliance in February 2015. The Downtown Austin Alliance is engaged in dozens of projects and issues that contribute to downtown's quality development, mobility, safety, cleanliness, and attractiveness for investors, businesses, employees, residents, and visitors. He guides the Alliance's vision and strategy, ensures the organization's fiscal health, and represents a board of directors, consisting of 48 private and public sector leaders focused on the preserving and enhancing the value and vitality of Downtown Austin.
