Lunch & Learn: Complete Streets, from Policy to Implementation

This Lunch & Learn event will focus on what Complete Streets encompasses, review NCDOT and other policies regarding Complete Streets, and share some local success stories of Complete Streets implementation.

Reuben Moore and Kristy Carter of J.M. Teague Engineering will discuss Complete Streets at the November 15th Lunch & Learn.  They will give a definition of what Complete Streets encompasses, review NCDOT and other policies regarding Complete Streets, and share some local success stories of Complete Streets implementation.

         

This event is being co-hosted by WTS Western North Carolina Chapter and APBP North Carolina Chapter.

The Association of Pedestrian and Bicycle Professionals (APBP) is a group that works to grow the pedestrian and bicycle profession and its influence by facilitating the exchange of professional and technical knowledge, elevating practitioners’ skills and defining the field. Beginning in 1993 with a handful of professionals in Portland, APBP now has more than 1,300 members throughout the United States and Canada. The North Carolina Chapter of APBP was founded in 2016 by pedestrian and bicycle professionals around the state. If you are interested in joining APBP or finding out more about the group’s mission and work, check out www.apbp.org.
