Join us for TIPS about the STIP
11:30 AM - 01:00 PM Mountain Standard Time
Confused as to how your projects ultimately may end up on the STIP or TIP? Representatives from DRCOG and CDOT will be speaking about the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) and the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP), their similarities, their differences, their relationship to each other, etc. It will be a great learning experience for all!
CDOT works with local governments throughout the state (including transportation planning regions and MPOs) to develop the STIP - a planning document identifying projects to receive funding in the next four years. Projects that are consistent with the long-range Regional and Statewide Transportation Plans are eligible for inclusion in the STIP. Similarly, the TIP identifies projects planned for the next six years with identified federal funds. DRCOG plays an essential role in development of funding criteria and the subsequent identification of projects to be included in the TIP.
