About our speaker

Nancy Amos is the Senior Vice President of the Fort Worth Transportation Authority, also known as The T. She has been with The T for almost 22 years and previously worked as the Assistant Director of Transportation and Public Works with the City of Fort Worth for 11 years. Her key areas of responsibility for The T are: marketing, planning, intergovernmental and community relations, employer services, customer service and entrepreneurial efforts.


She holds a BBA from Texas Wesleyan University and a Masters Degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. She was named 2006 Alumna of the Year from Texas Wesleyan University.


Amos was recognized as Woman of the Year for 2006 by the Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter of the Women's Transportation Seminar (WTS). The North Central Texas Council of Governments selected her as the winner of the Linda Keithley Award for Women in Public Management in 2001, and she was recognized by the YWCA in 1997 in its initial Tribute to Women in Business. Her volunteer involvement includes or has included service on Texas Wesleyan University's Alumni Board, Circle of Red Member, 2012, American Heart Association, Women's Policy Forum Board, a mentor partnership through The T's Adopt a School with Kirkpatrick Middle School, former Chair of the Fort Worth Chamber's East Area Council and member of its Local Business Development Committee, member of the Fort Worth Chamber's Foundation Board, as well as founding member of UTA Fort Worth's Advisory Council.
