Keynote Speaker

Lt. Gen Joe Weber, USMC, (Ret) serves as executive director of the Texas Department of Transportation.

Under the direction of the Texas Transportation Commission, he is responsible for the strategic direction and overall management of TxDOT's policies and operations. He maintains relationships with elected leaders all over the state and represents TxDOT before the Texas Legislature.

Weber's goal is to provide and maintain a safe and reliable transportation system for the 26 million people who live in the great state of Texas, and to support transportation as an economic development tool that makes Texas the best destination for businesses and visitors.

Prior to TxDOT, Weber served as vice president for Student Affairs at Texas A&M University, where he was responsible for the oversight of more than 900 student organizations and activities and all co-curricular student services and support associated with student development and success.
