Envision Eugene - Tour and Panel Discussion

03:00 PM - 06:00 PM Pacific Standard Time

WTS Mid-Willamette Valley Area Event: Envision Eugene - Bus tour and Panel Discussion

Mark your calendars for an exciting event taking place at the Wine Lab in Eugene (488 Lincoln St. Eugene Oregon 97401) on Thursday, November 19th.

This event is focused on Envision Eugene, Eugene’s urban growth boundary renewal process as well as implementation elements of the plan including Eugene’s draft Transportation System Plan and MovingAhead, which is a collaboration with Lane Transit District to prioritize transit, bicycle, and pedestrian improvements that will support compact urban growth.

The event is scheduled for 3:00 pm sharp to 6:00 pm and will begin at the Wine Lab where we will hop on an LTD bus to tour part of the West Eugene EmX route and then head down River Road for a great example of coordinated land use and transportation planning.

This will be followed by a panel discussion back at the Wine Lab where you can grab a drink and some great wine or food from cheese and meat platters while learning about the project's innovative teaming, planning, and public involvement techniques. Panelists have worked closely with one another as part of the MovingAhead project team and include Terri Harding (City of Eugene, Principal Planner), Sasha Luftig (Lane Transit District, Transit Development Planner), and Kristin Hull (CH2M Hill, Project Manager), with Frannie Brindle (ODOT Area 5 Manager) as the Moderator.

Note: The first forty participants may register for both the bus tour and panel discussion for a $25 event fee ($20 for WTS Members or Students). If unable to make it to the bus tour, participants may register for just the panel discussion with a $20 registration fee ($15 for WTS Members and Students). The panel discussion will start at 4:15 at the Wine Lab for those that chose this option.

If you have any questions about this event, please contact Jordin Ketelsen at jnk@dksassociates.com

Register early, space is limited.
