Active Morning Bike Ride

08:15 AM - 10:30 AM Mountain Standard Time

Active Morning Bike Ride

Come and explore the Legacy Parkway Trail and Prospector Rail Trail! We will meet at the Farmington FrontRunner Station, ride north a very short distance to the Red Barn, turn and ride west one quarter mile to the Prospector Rail Trail (paved), turn and ride south four miles to Legacy Parkway Trail (also paved), and turn and ride north about 4 miles to the Farmington FrontRunner Station. The total ride distance is approximately 10 miles and a great workout to start your day!

Darlene Batatian is our fearless leader and guide for this fun and active outing. Darlene loves to cycle and often enjoys biking the Legacy Parkway Trail and Prospector Rail Trail. Unfortunately, she is a terrible bike mechanic. Please make sure your bike is in rideable condition prior to the ride!

8:15 am to 10:30 am (approximately)

Meet at the Farmington Front Runner Station at 8:15 am (midway between the arrival of the northbound and southbound trains). We will have a snack while we put on our helmets and get oriented. Ride time is about an hour and a half. We should return in time to catch the southbound 10:10 am or 10:40 am train. Plan on extra time if you would like to go out for breakfast after the ride.

The Farmington FrontRunner Station is located immediately west of the I-15/US-89/Legacy Parkway (SR-68)/Park Lane (SR-225) interchanges. The official address is 450 North 850 West, but it is located at the south end of Station Parkway. Meet at the Farmington FrontRunner Station parking lot, on the north side of the station. An online map may be found here.

Transit Directions
Take FrontRunner north or south to the Farmington Station. The FrontRunner schedule may be found here.

Free! A little sweat equity is required and breakfast (on your own) is optional.

Additional Information

  • Coffee and bagels will be provided, courtesy of Terracon, at the tailgate before the ride.
  • Optional breakfast (on your own) will be at Café Torrino in Station Park after the ride.
  • The paved bike trails are suitable for road and mountain bikes. Helmets are required. Maps and the guided bike tour will be provided by Darlene Batatian.
