A Bird's Eye View of Transportation

04:30 PM - 06:00 PM Eastern Standard Time

The Northeast Florida Regional Airport is an important part of commerce, pleasure transportation and accessibility to the world from St. Augustine, the oldest city in North America. Attendees of the WTS meeting Thursday, April 18 will have an opportunity to learn firsthand what’s involved in its operation.

Carl Youman, chairman of the St. Augustine Airport Authority, and  Michele Halleran, professor at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and an experienced commercial, cargo, seaplane and bush plane pilot, will be the speakers.  They will talk about aviation best practices, recent FAA policies that were influenced by Professor Halleran, career paths in the aviation field, and the uniqueness and capabilities of the Northeast Florida Regional Airport.  The presentation begins at 5 p.m. and an airport tour follows including behind-the-scenes activities that keep the airport running smoothly and safely.  For those who do business in aviation, to expert aviators, to people who are curious about how aviation works, this presentation will be informative and fun. Come join us!
