2017 WTS-Boston Summer Tour - Private Access and Exclusive Tour of Ink Underground Park

03:30 PM - 07:00 PM Eastern Standard Time

WTS-Boston will host an exclusive tour of the Ink Underground Park, an 8-acre park underneath the Southeast Expressway between the South End and South Boston neighborhoods.

Resulting from a successful public/private partnership, this active, urban park features landscaped pedestrian boardwalks and bicycle paths along the Fort Point Channel that will include 24-hour security. In addition, the park was designed to include a dog park, as well as 13 feet of public art walls, and pop-up food and beverage experiences. For the multi-modal traveler, the park offers a bike storage facility and 175 commercial parking spaces.  Attendees will get an exclusive sneak peak of the park before it is opened to the public on August 1, 2017.

This private tour will be guided by Mr. Robin Blatt-Eisengart, Financial Analysis/Program Manager for MassDOT and Ms. Naomi Mayeux, Project Manager for National Development.

The special access tour will take place at the Ink Underground Park, located at:

90 Traveler Street
Boston, MA 02118
Registration: 3:30PM  - 4:00 PM
Tour:  4:00 PM – 5:00 PM

The park is a short walk from the Broadway T stop on the Red line or the Tufts Medical Center stop on the Orange Line.  Parking options in the area include the garage at 1000 Washington Street, the Stanhope lot at 79 E. Berkeley Street, or the parking garage at Tufts Medical Center.
