White House Taking Action to Advance Equal Pay for Women

Seven years ago today, President Obama signed into law the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, which empowered women to recover wages lost to pay discrimination. Today, the President highlighted several additional actions that his Administration is taking to advance equal pay for all workers and further empower working families.

National Safety Council to Recognize Women Leaders in Safety

The National Safety Council is accepting nominations for its inaugural Marion Martin Recognition Award, presented to women who have advanced safety and broken down traditional gender barriers within the safety field.

Nominations Open for $8,000 C3E Awards for Mid-Career Women's Leadership in Clean Energy

The 2016 C3E Awards will honor mid-career leadership and achievement in eight categories: Advocacy, Business, Education, Entrepreneurship, Government, International, Law & Finance, and Research. Each winner will receive an $8,000 prize and national recognition at the 2016 C3E Women in Clean Energy Symposium, to be held at Stanford University in late May. Nominators of the winners will also be invited to attend.

Submit Your Photo for the WTS-DC Scholarship Fund Photo Competition!

Winning submissions will be printed on high-quality canvas prints and auctioned at the WTS-DC Holiday Party on December 9, 2015. All proceeds will benefit our scholarship fund. One winner will be selected in the following categories: Ladders of Opportunity, Women in Transportation, and Infrastructure. The contest is open to all members and friends of WTS.
