As the 2016 election season kicks into high gear, transportation supporters might ask: “Where is transportation in the 2016 election discussion and process?” Join WTS-DC, Young Professionals In Transportation and the Transportation Research Forum for this joint event.

If transportation is not a highly visible topic in the formal policy positions of the two presidential candidates, what are the implications of either candidate’s general policy positions/statements for current and future national transportation policy and funding? And what might be implications of the 2016 campaigns and elections outcomes for the next Congress as it takes up transportation and related policy issues, such as tax reform, that could affect future transportation policy and funding options?

Our guests, Chris Bertram, Co-founder and Partner, B+S Strategies, Jeff Davis, Senior Fellow and Editor of Eno Transportation Weekly, Eno Center for Transportation, and John Porcari, president of U.S. advisory services at WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, with their extensive experience in federal transportation policy issues, can bring insights on Democratic and Republican perspectives and initiatives.
