Members-Only Discussion with Amtrak President and CEO Joe Boardman

07:45 AM - 09:30 AM Eastern Standard Time

Meet us in the Amtrak Board Room for continental breakfast and a brief overview of the Amtrak organization, followed by open group discussion with Amtrak President and CEO Joseph Boardman. Learn more about organizational, cultural, and leadership change from the CEO’s perspective as America’s passenger railroad implements sweeping changes to its business structure and prepares itself for a new era.

Amtrak President and CEO Joe Boardman
Joseph H. Boardman was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Amtrak by its Board of Directors in November 2008. Mr. Boardman oversees the management of America’s Railroad, which carried 31.2 million passengers in FY 2012, an all-time record. Under his leadership, Amtrak is building the equipment, infrastructure and organization needed to ensure its strong growth continues into the future. In addition, Amtrak’s next-generation high-speed rail vision will provide a global competitive advantage for the United States. Before joining Amtrak, Mr. Boardman was the Administrator of the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) and also served as a member of the Amtrak Board of Directors. Prior to his position at FRA, Mr. Boardman was the longest serving Commissioner of the New York State Department of Transportation. To view Mr. Boardman's full bio, please click here.
