WTS-DC Scholarship

The mission of WTS is to “transform the transportation industry through the advancement of women.”  At WTS-DC, we feel that education is a vital tool to facilitate that advancement, and every year, WTS-DC awards scholarships to deserving young women who are studying transportation at undergraduate and graduate programs in the DC area.  As a chapter, we believe that giving scholarships is one of the most important things we do.

Each year, the WTS DC Chapter awards up to four scholarships in amounts ranging from $500 to $2,000 to deserving young women who are studying transportation at undergraduate and graduate programs in the DC area. Recipients are then nominated for consideration for WTS International Scholarships ranging from $5,000 to $10,000. WTS DC is pleased to announce our annual call for scholarship applications. Scholarships are available for women at the undergraduate and graduate level who intend to pursue a career in transportation.

Eligibility criteria are provided in the undergraduate and graduate application forms, which can be found HERE. Applications are due no later than 5:00PM on Monday, November 3, 2014.

For further information, please contact our Scholarship Chair:
