WTS-DC 2018 Recognition Award Winners (Click here for list of past recipients.)

WTS-DC Recognition Awards

WTS-DC recognizes the area's leading women who have had a significant impact on transportation, as well as prominent men and distinguished organizations in our nation's capital—public or private—that support the development, growth and advancement of women in transportation.

Nominatation for the 2019 WTS-DC Recognitions Awards Now Open

WTS-DC is seeking nominations for the 2019 Recognition Awards. Winning nominations for all WTS-DC award categories with a corresponding WTS International award will be submitted to WTS International for the International Awards presented at the Annual Conference.

Recognitions are a great way to acknowledge those who support our local WTS-DC Chapter and heighten awareness of the WTS mission and goals. So go ahead - nominate a deserving woman, man, colleague, employer, or transportation idol for one of WTS-DC’s six Recognitions Awards. WTS-DC’s 2019 Member of the Year and other awardees will be honored at our chapter's most prominent and widely attended event, the WTS-DC Holiday Party in December 2019.

For 2019, the awards are:

  • WTS-DC Woman of the Year Award
  • WTS-DC Honorable Ray LaHood Award
