Through the generous contributions of our members and chapter supporters, we award scholarships that recognize the potential contributions of undergraduate and graduate students. The Paulette Duve Memorial Scholarship rewards students in transportation-related fields who have an interest in pursuing a career in transportation. The scholarship is open to both graduate and undergraduate students.
A $2,000 award will be granted to two students (one graduate student and one undergraduate student) and a $1,000 award will be granted to one student (either graduate or undergraduate).
Paulette Duve was a founding member of the San Diego County Chapter of WTS and a senior transportation planner at the San Diego Metropolitan Transit Development Board (MTDB). Paulette's wealth of transportation knowledge and expertise, her project management skills, and her concern for the community led the chapter to name our scholarship in her honor. Winners of these scholarships will be forwarded on to WTS International to compete for International level scholarships up to $5,000 (undergraduate) and $10,000 (graduate). The scholarship details and amounts stated are current as of the year 2013.
