On July 14, 2016 WTS San Diego County hosted the second installment of the 2016 “Women in Transportation” series featuring female leaders in aviation. Renita Mollman, Burns & McDonnell; Angela Shafer-Payne, San Diego County Regional Airport Authority; Ellen Wright and Cynthia Guidry, Los Angeles World Airports; and Monica Newhouse-Rodriguez, Newhouse and Associates, LLC, shared their unique perspectives on adversity, diversity, innovation, leadership, and advice for women on the pathway to success. WTS San Diego County Nominations Chair, Brianna Pilkinton, Burns & McDonnell, moderated a question and answer session in which   the panelists discussed their educational backgrounds, career choices, lessons learned, and role models.

Following the question and answer session, all panelists were invited to rotate between tables of program attendees. All speakers were open and engaged with the members of the audience making this the most popular portion of the event. WTS San Diego County was thrilled to offer this program highlighting the professional accomplishments of women in aviation for current members.
