WTS Career Development Workshop (Full Day) - Negotiations Training
WTS Puget Sound would like to invite you to participate in a 6 hour career development workshop led by Joan Stearns Johnsen on women and negotiation. Joan is a professor at Levin College of Law specializing in areas related to alternative dispute resolution. Joan has been mediating and arbitrating large complex cases for over twenty years. Professor Johnsen is on the arbitration and mediation panels of the American Arbitration Association, the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, The American Health Lawyers Association, and mediation panels of The United States District Court for the Southern District of New York and for the New York Supreme Court, Commercial Division.

This seminar will focus on distinct issues professional women negotiators confront and offer strategies for how to enhance your skills and improve your results. All negotiations are not the same. Learn to be a more strategic negotiator by adapting your approach strategically. Improve your results for yourself and for your clients or agency.

Among the topics to be covered will be expanding your opportunities for negotiation, strategically approaching differing negotiations differently, recognizing and responding to manipulative negotiation tactics, and anticipating and preventing impasse.
