LFAL Series Continues to Sizzle with Four August Session

As the summer enters the dog days of August, WTS Philadelphia continues heating things up with four exceptional Learn From a Leader (LFAL) panels.

On August 2nd, from 12-1 p.m. at AECOM's Philadelphia office, 1700 Market Street, LFAL presents "Pathway to the Presidency." This session's speaker is Karen Jehanian, President and Founder of KMJ Consulting, Inc. With more than 30 years in the transportation consulting business, she is an expert in ITS and travel information, stakeholder services, traffic calming, transportation planning, and strategic planning. Ms. Jehanian earned a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and Master's Degree in Business Administration from Drexel University, where she remains as an active alumna.

As always, all LFAL events are open to anyone. WTS Philadelphia members are free, while non-members cost just $10.

On August 9th, join HNTB's Senior Planner Lori Cole for a session entitled, "Managing Life's Change and a Successful Career: It Can Be Done!" This event will be hosted at HNTB's Philadelphia office, located at 1650 Arch Street, from 8:30-9:30 a.m.

The third LFAL session of the month will feature Jacobs' Transportation Planning Manager, Jennifer Duval, AICP, presenting a program titled, "The Power of Positive Thinking: How to be your Biggest Advocate." This session will be held August 15th from 12-1 p.m. at Jacobs' Philadelphia office, 2301 Chestnut Street. Ms. Duval's experience ranges from ITS and operations/incidence management planning to program management and strategic planning. She manages planning, traffic operations, and ITS projects for clients in the mid-Atlantic. Prior to joining Jacobs in 2005, she worked as a city planner for the City of San Diego. Ms. Duval holds a Master's Degree in City Planning from San Diego State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Geography from Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, VA.

The final LFAL session for August will be held on August 23rd from 12-1 p.m. at LTK Engineering's Ambler, PA office, located at 100 W. Butler Pike. The program, entitled, "Responsibility without Authority: Using Influence to get Things Done," will be presented by LTK Engineering's Director of Business Development, Natalie Cornell.
