Back in Support of Back on My Feet

BoMF

The Philadelphia Chapter wants to extend a special thank you to JMT.  For the second consecutive year, JMT has committed a $1,500 donation in support of their employees' involvement, specifically Kim Waters (more on her below), in the Back on My Feet (BoMF) Treadmill Challenge.  This donation once again pushed our Chapter over our fundraising goal.

"This is a profound testament to the ways in which an employer supports its staff," Gibson e-mailed the Chapter's Board.  "And that, my friends, is pretty awesome!"

The Treadmill Challenge is a fundraiser for BoMF Philadelphia, a nonprofi organization that - literally and figuratively - helps individuals experiencing homelessness get back on their feet.  BoMF Philadelphia works with area homeless shelters, where members team up with volunteers to run three days a week at 5:30am.  By achieving their running goals, members building confidence, strength, and self-esteem.  Runners with 90% attendance and positive attitude gain access to job training, employment, and housing opportunities.

The Threadmill Challenge will be held June 6th at the Shops at Liberty Place from 11am - 7pm.  Our Chapter, which again has committed to running for the full eight hours, is the reigning Top Fundraising Team from 2017 - a title we're not likely to relinquish anytime soon, thanks to the support of our members and the firms where they work.

"Wow, this is incredible," said Cathryn Sanderson, Executive Director, Back on My Feet Philadelphia Chapter.  "Thank you JMT & WTS.  I love this e-mail Patti, you're such a wonderful spokeswoman for BoMF, thank you!  And thank you, Kim for all the miles you're putting in to support.  What a great way to start our Monday, can't wait to share this with our team.  Thank you for everything you guys continue to do.  I promise I'll be cheering you on until I have no voice left."

The Treadmill Challenge Team for WTS Philadelphia includes Kirsten Brown, Urban Engineers, Inc. / Melissa Chapman, Megan Peppard, and Jasmine Narcisse, Jacobs / Assunta Daprano and Noreen Nolan, AECOM / Lindsey Graham, HNTB / John Hanson and Mike Venuto, DRPA / Linell Homentosky, Michael Baker International / Jason McCartney, Gannett Fleming, Inc. / Samantha Safara, HDR, Inc. / Anna Lynn Smith, WSP USA / Liz Smith, SEPTA / Carrie Streahle, Promatech / Emily Watts, McCormick Taylor / Kim Waters, JMT
