Transportation Analyst - Tallahassee, Florida

Cambridge Systematics is seeking a self motivated independent problem solver to assist with composing multimodal performance measures, implementing travel time reliability, and evaluating mobility performance on roadways throughout Florida.  This person will be responsible for compiling data from various sources, using algorithmic models, and writing reports. The position is responsible for conducting research and performing comparative analyses. A candidate should be skilled in performance measurement, knowledgeable of data acquisition, and have the ability to do technical writing. The individual serving in this position will be exposed to many new opportunities as state DOTs and MPOs develop new performance based planning programs.

Qualifications: Masters Degree; or Bachelors Degree in engineering or urban planning; or 3 years experience in a related field; fluency in transportation analysis tools.

Assistant Manager, Transportation Operations & Safety - St Augustine, Florida

St Johns County Council on Aging is seeking an Assistant Manager of Transportation Operations and Safety. This position will directly supervise all department functions including vehicle operation, passenger transport and assistance, route and scheduling software, customer service and dispatching. Additional responsibilities include fleet and safety program oversight and supervision of the general maintenance of the transportation facility and all its equipment and systems.

A minimum of five years successful management of operations and personnel, ability to communicate effectively with staff and the public and computer proficiency is required. CDL license preferred.

Transportation Fleet Maintenance Coordinator - St Augustine, Florida

St Johns County Council on Aging is seeking a Transportation Fleet Maintenance Coordinator. This position will be responsible for the vehicle maintenance operations in the Transportation division: daily vehicle maintenance and repair, oversight and maintenance of garage, vehicle records and reports, parts inventory and management, supervision of mechanic assistant and assurance of compliance with DOT and FTA regulations.

A minimum of 10 year experience as hands-on-mechanic, ASE certified; CDL license with clean driving record; proficiency with electrical and electronic systems and excellent organizational and supervisory skills are required.

Administrative Assistant - Jacksonville, Florida

Top electrical contracting firm is seeking an Administrative Assistant for our Transportation Division in our Jacksonville, Florida office. The successful candidate will perform a wide range of administrative and office support activities for the department and/or managers and supervisors to facilitate the efficient operation of the division. Some of these activities include invoice processing, bid coordination, pre-qualification submittals, sub-contracts, purchase orders, lien releases, payroll for the department, and assistance with proposal materials.

Candidate will be extremely organized, have strong attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks in a deadline-sensitive environment. Experience working with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is a plus.

Transportation Policy and Planning Analyst - Tallahassee, Florida

Cambridge Systematics is seeking a Transportation Policy and Planning Analyst to work in our Tallahassee office as part of our Transportation Planning and Management group.

Responsibilities: Help manage administration of a large on-call support services contract. Provide technical, administrative, and other support to managers of other tasks. Provide direction to staff supporting task work orders. Manage or support projects or tasks for other local and Southeast clients.Task requirements are likely to cover policy and legislative support, public involvement, stakeholder coordination and consensus-building, strategic communications, economic and financial analysis, systems and corridor planning, and other ad-hoc client support.
Qualifications: Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning, Public Policy, Economics, Transportation Engineering, or related field. At least 5 years of experience in transportation planning or related fields. Experience working on transportation planning and policy tasks with quick turn around times. Strong project management skills. Ability to work closely with a team. Experience performing research, writing proposals, analyzing data, and communicating results. Specific experience with the Florida Department of Transportation is a plus.
