The Alpha and Omega of Safety: Preparing for the Safe Transit of Goods and People

11:30 AM - 01:15 PM Eastern Standard Time

While safety during transit is a common and important emphasis, Women's Transportation Seminar is hosting OSHA and NTSB to discuss what preparation is needed for a commercial vehicle before it embarks on its journey.

While safety during transit is a common and important emphasis, Women's Transportation Seminar is hosting OSHA and NTSB to discuss what preparation is needed for a commercial vehicle before it embarks on its journey.  Whether it's a ship, train, boat or truck, OSHA generally has authority until it departs, and this can avoid the accident investigation and cleanup that involves the NTSB.  Many companies believe they are being responsible if they drive safely and have protective equipment for the people on board.  But OSHA and the NTSB have a lot of helpful guidance before you crank the engine that can save lives, property and corporate reputation.  Preparing the vehicle to travel safely and cargo loading operations are key to a successful outcome, and WTS believes accident prevention is the most fundamental standard in transportation.
