WTS MN Minneapolis Bridges Bicycling Tour

This August, WTS MN invites you to explore the bridges of Minneapolis as you have never seen them before--by bicycle!

In this guided tour, you will gain insights and bridge history from resident transportation professionals, including Minnesota State Bridge Engineer Nancy Daubenberger who will provide background on the I-35W Bridge. Other bridges along the tour include the Stone Arch Bridge, Northern Pacific Bridge Number 9, 10th Ave Bridge, and Washington Ave Bridge.

Cost (includes bagel breakfast and water):

  • Members: $10.00
  • Non-members: $20.00
  • Students: $5.00

Event Details:

  • Please meet on the east side Gold Medal Park (see map below). Look for the WTS Minnesota banner.
  • Event sponsor WSB and Associates, Inc. is providing parking passes for the Mill Quarter Ramp located at 711 S 2nd St, Minneapolis, MN. If you plan to drive, please request parking in event RSVP.
  • Attendees are encouraged to bring their own bicycle. Participants may use the Nice Ride service with docking stations located along the path. For details on Nice Ride membership and use click here.
  • Participants are strongly encouraged to wear a helmet.
  • Upon arrival participants will be asked to sign a waiver to participate in the bicycling tour.
  • Program will go on in event of light rain. Should weather forecast suggest inclement weather, registrants will be notified via email on Friday, August 2 of program cancellation. In event of cancellation, registrants will be refunded and program will be rescheduled for a later date.
