Charles Carlson of Metro Transit will present the results of the recently completed Arterial Transitway Corridors Study.

Arterial Transitway Corridors Study

Metro Transit is currently wrapping up a 15-month study of 11 urban corridors with high-ridership bus routes that connect major destinations for implementation of "rapid bus" service.

The concept would improve travel speed, increase reliability, enhance the ride and create faster connections. Making these things a reality requires eliminating delays: from cutting the time it takes to board, reducing the time buses wait at traffic lights and lessening time spent in traffic congestion.

Charles Carlson, Manager of Transitway Projects for Metro Transit, will recap what was examined in the Arterial Transitway Corridors Study, share corridor evaluation results, and preview what's next for this exciting new transit concept.

Please RSVP by Friday, March 16, 2012 to Ashley Ver Burg at wtsminnesota@gmail.com or 651-643-0432. Include name and organization in RSVP.
