Mentorship Program

Sign up as a Mentee or Mentor Today!

WTS-IE is in its fourth year of providing a mentoring program to its Chapter members, and seeks on an ongoing basis members interested in being mentored (Mentees) and Mentors. The program begins when the Chapter matches up a Mentor with the Mentee.  It is recommended the Mentor creates a schedule with your Mentee, in order to establish rapport, consistency and show your willingness to share/coach.

  • If you are interested in being mentored (a Mentee) please click on this link to complete an online application.
  • If you are interested in joining the Program as a Mentor, please follow this link to complete an online application. For more information about what is involved in being a Mentor, and guidelinees, see the section below.

Note that for both online appllications, you must also attach to the online form a brief resume about yourself, in either a Microsoft Word or in an Adobe Acrobat format.  Upon completion, you will be emailed a copy of your submission.  A WTS-IE Chapter representative will contact you within a few business days on your application.  In the meantime, should you have any questions or would like additional information, feel free to send us an E-Mail, and again, thank you for your interest.

How do you become a Mentor?

Mentoring is relationship oriented and is more than just a part of your job.  You must want to do it in order for the relationship to be a success.  You must be willing to listen to what your Mentee needs/desires, respond to those needs and be willing to learn, as well as to teach.  Mentors demonstrate, explain, model, share and facilitate and be dedicated to providing as an example a successful future for your Mentee.  To be a Mentor, you must make and give the time and effort to the Mentee - but we highly recommend so as not to be overwhelmed or overwhelm yourself, make one meeting at a time.  What is important, is to take the time to be a role-model and Mentor, and do not micro-manage this process or your Mentee.  Once you become a Mentor, you will find how rewarding imparting your life and information onto a new professional, can be very rewarding.  Congratulations for taking this important step and we hope that you submit an application.
