Board positions are determined through an open election of our chapter membership. Committee chairmanships are determined by the Chapter President, with the agreement of the Board of Directors.

In November 2013, DART has become an industry leader in addressing and combating human trafficking. This discussion gives listeners a better understanding of the human trafficking epidemic, how it affects their communities, and what the transportation industry can do to help eradicate modern day slavery.

TCNT Rail~Volution Scholarship Program

2016 Rail~Volution Scholarship applications will open with registration in June 2016. TCNT offers a limited number of scholarships to professionals in the DFW area working on transportation and land-use issues with special consideration for students, citizen activists and transportation advocates. Scholarships awarded are for conference registration and a $500 travel stipend. Scholarship awards will be announced early August 2016.

Tomorrow the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Dallas District will open its doors to 21 young, female students to inspire them to learn more about career opportunities in transportation.

If you are interested in attending the 2016 WTS Annual Conference and need financial assistance, the HOME Fund covers the cost for up to eight chapter members to attend the Annual Conference May 18-20 at the Hilton Austin in Texas' capital.

2013 DC Summit

Erika Soto- Irma Rangel student 11th Grade- Mechanical Engineering interest attended the 2nd annual DC Summit June 26-30 in Washington DC with DFW Chapter mentor Daphne Johnson. The pair attended a new conference for young women designed to inspire, train, and prepare them for a future in STEM studies (science, technology, engineering and math) and a career in the transportation industry
