David_CrossonDavid Crosson

Senior Vice President, Great Lakes Division Operations Officer
HNTB Corporation

From his days of picking up nails with his family construction business, Ben Crosson and Son House Moving Engineers, to his current role as Great Lakes Division Operations Officer with HNTB, Dave has over 30 of years experience in the engineering and construction industry. As Division Operations Officer, he supports upper midwest offices to ensure they have the right resources at the right time to deliver HNTB’s “4for4” promise — quality work, on time, within budget, and to the client’s satisfaction.

Throughout his career, Dave has been a champion for women in in the A/E/C industry, mentoring them with his open door policy.  He continues his support throughout their careers, coaches them as they grow into new positions and face different challenges, even when that means working at competing firms. While office leader, Dave supported a women’s staff initiative to develop a Diversity Group, which was a network for women to learn from one another and provide additional professional development resources. This ultimately evolved into a corporate Diversity and Inclusion Group. His current involvement in industry organizations includes Past Chairman of the Illinois Road and Transportation Builders Association and P&D Board and Director on the Construction Management Association of America National Board of Directors. Dave is also a proud member of the fundraising committee for SOS Children’s Villages of Illinois, and has supported WTS throughout his career, including sponsoring the annual awards dinner at the Union League Club. Dave received his BS in Civil Engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and his PE license in 1996. He lives in Downers Grove with his wife Tammy and children Grace, Paul & Frankie.
