Welcome from WTS Minnesota!
WTS Minnesota is a committed group of about 90 members spanning many different modes and specialties within transportation.
Our chapter holds monthly programs on current transportation topics in Minnesota. In addition to our programs we also occasionally hold professional development events that vary in topic from communication styles to work life balance. There is something for everyone. We strive to be the premier transportation information resource to the local community.
As well as programs, one of our chapter’s cornerstones is our scholarships. We annually give two $2,000 scholarships, one to a graduate and the other to an undergraduate student. Over our chapter’s 27 year history we have given out 46 scholarships to women. This is a great accomplishment for our chapter! Our chapter is in the process of endowing our scholarship fund so that our investment in women in transportation can be done for years to come. With companies and individuals cutting back on costs these days, the power of a professional organization membership is even greater. A WTS membership can provide you with many opportunities for networking, access to local transportation leaders at our events, professional development, and volunteer opportunities. On a national level you will have access to the WTS Career Center, national conferences and leadership opportunities. So if you are a prospective member or a current member, invest in your professional career by becoming a member or continue to renew you membership with us.
